Sir Thomas Picton School - School Uniform

Overview

The school is proud of its uniform and ALL pupils are expected to comply fully with the school's requirements. Parents are expected to support the school in enforcing these guidelines at all times.

The school uniform is available from local suppliers or separate items can be purchased from national multiple stores, however it is expected that every item of clothing will comply with the school uniform requirements. If parents are unclear as to the suitability of any items of clothing, they should contact the school before purchasing them to avoid unnecessary costs.

The school uniform is periodically reviewed by a group consisting of Governors, HSA members, staff, school council and pupils.

Jewellery, if worn, must be restricted to a signet ring and ONE sleeper or stud in the lobe of each ear. These will need to be removed for safety reasons in some activities. No other body or facial piercing is acceptable.

We expect all pupils to maintain the high standards of uniform when being educated off site. Make up is forbidden. Individuals who do not adhere to this will be asked to remove it.

Those sixth form students who have represented county, country or school on tour may wear the appropriate badge on the school sweater or the associated top as long as it is navy blue.

Parents eligible to receive uniform allowances and maintenance allowances are advised to seek information from the Education Office, County Hall, Haverfordwest. Telephone: Haverfordwest 764551.
